The Board of Fellowship plans and coordinates various social events throughout the year, offering opportunities for church members to connect and build relationships within the Lutheran faith.  If you’d like to help with any of these events or serve on the Board of Fellowship, please contact Sandra Sommerfield (chair) or Simi Lawrence.

Coffee Hour - Refreshments are offered from 9:00a-9:30a during our two service format (September - May) and from 10:30a-10:45a during the summer.  These are provided by members or groups within the congregation.  A collection is taken to benefit our adopted student from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Blaise Longhurst.

Super Sundays - Whenever there are five Sundays in a month between September and May, we have one service at 9:30a and a congregational meal afterwards.  Our next Super Sunday will be on September 29.

Thanksgiving Eve Pie Social-  Our Thanksgiving worship service is on the preceding Wednesday at 7:00p.  After the service we have dozens of delicious pies to sample. This year’s pie social will be on November 27.

Advent and Lenten Soup Suppers- Advent is the season before Christmas, and Lent is the season before Easter.  At these times we have Evening Prayer services at 7:00p. These services are preceded by a light meal of soup, salad, bread, and dessert.  This year we will have Suppers on December 4, 11, and 18, March 12, 19, and 26, and April 2 and 9.

King’s Cake Reception- The Feast of Epiphany is always on January 6, after the 12 Days of Christmas.  We have a special Divine Service at 7:00p, with homemade King’s Cakes served afterwards.  If you find baby Jesus in the cake, you get a special prize!

Easter Breakfast- We celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord with a catered breakfast between our services, from 9:00a-10:30a.  This year Easter is on April 20.

Ascension Day Ice Cream Social- Forty days after Easter, our Lord ascended to heaven.  We have a Divine Service at 7:00p with an Ice Cream Social immediately following. Ascension Day is on May 29 in 2025.

Church Picnic- This is our largest social event of the year.  It’s usually the Sunday after VBS.  We serve burgers, brats, and hot dogs, and the rest of the food is potluck.  We have games for children and adults.  The date for our 2025 picnic is TBD.
